Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect almost nothing. No accounts. No emails. No comments. The minimum needed to serve a fast page and see what's popular — and you can opt out of that too.

The short version

GTA6 CheatCodeis a static cheat-code database. We don't run user accounts, contact forms, comment sections, or newsletters, so we have nothing to lose if our database is breached — because there's nothing in it but cheat codes.

We use Google Analytics to count pageviews so we know which cheats are popular. We store one tiny preference in your browser's local storage so the site remembers which platform you picked. That's it.

What we collect

  • Pageview analyticsvia Google Analytics 4 — page URLs, referrer, approximate location (country/region), device type, and a hashed visitor identifier. IP addresses are anonymized on collection (Google's anonymize_ip flag).
  • A single local-storage value in your browser: g6cc:platform. Holds your platform pick (PC / PlayStation / Xbox) so cheat cards show the right code on return visits. Never sent to our servers.
  • Hosting access logsgenerated by our host, Vercel — standard request logs (IP, user agent, URL, response code) retained per Vercel's privacy policy. Used only for security and abuse prevention.

We do not collect: email addresses, names, payment info, geolocation, device sensors, social-graph data, or any cross-site tracking identifiers.

Cookies & local storage

Two things get written to your browser:

  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) — first-party cookies set by GA4 for visitor aggregation. Lifetime up to two years. You can block them via your browser's cookie controls or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • localStorage key g6cc:platform — your platform preference. Clear it by clearing site data for gta6cheatcode.net or by switching the dropdown back to PC (the default).

Third-party services

  • Google Analytics 4 — Google LLC. Google Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel (hosting) — Vercel Inc. Vercel Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts— the Anton, Outfit, and Space Mono typefaces are self-hosted by Next.js's font pipeline. No external request to fonts.google.com is made at page-view time.

We are not in a data-sharing or affiliate-tracking arrangement with any of these vendors beyond their role as plain service providers.

Your rights

If you're in the EU/EEA (GDPR), UK (UK GDPR), or California (CCPA), you have the right to: access the data we have about you, request deletion, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

In practice, the only personal-data-adjacent thing we have is anonymized GA pageview data tied to a browser identifier — which we cannot map back to you by name or email because we never collected those. To exercise the most direct opt-out, install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked above, or block third-party cookies in your browser.

Children

GTA6 CheatCodeis intended for a general audience of GTA players. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (under 16 in the EU). If you believe a child has provided us with any information, contact us and we'll address it immediately — though, again, we don't run any form that would let a child submit information in the first place.

Data retention

Google Analytics retains user-and-event data for 14 months (configured to the minimum). Vercel access logs follow Vercel's standard retention. Your local-storage value lives in your browser until you clear site data.

International transfers

Our hosting and analytics providers are US-based. By using GTA6 CheatCode from outside the US, you acknowledge that data described above may be processed in the US under the contractual safeguards those providers have in place (Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable).

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if anything material changes. The "Effective" date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision. Substantive changes will also be mentioned in a news post.
